Position Title: Financial Analyst, Accounts Payable
Reports to: Senior Manager, Accounting Operations
Location: Home Office – New Albany, Ohio *LI-AS2
Position Summary
The Home Office Accounting Operations Team is responsible for all company brands worldwide. The Team includes Sales Audit, Real Estate Accounting, Accounts Payable, & Inventory Control departments.
The open Accounts Payable Analyst position is a key contact for merchandise & non-merchandise payables, so frequent internal & external partner training and assistance is required. The successful candidate will also need an in-depth financial management system comprehension for a lead role in issue identification, testing & resolution responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Develop expertise in company & department specific systems, including daily troubleshooting, ad hoc improvements & fixes, and major upgrade testing & sign-off
Communicate with a diverse group of business partners across all levels of the company and externally, which includes leading & representing the department in meetings, and challenging partners & current processes appropriately
Responsible for Payables general ledger reconciliations & journal entries
Immediate involvement in cross-functional projects, including Peoplesoft upgrade planning, testing & implementation; internal control updates & execution; and standardizing payables processes with our international offices
Create new department reporting tools, including performance & productivity indicators and invoice discrepancy analytics
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business
2 years of relevant business experience
Financial Management Systems experience & interest required -- Peoplesoft Finance knowledge preferred
Self-starter - able to independently work, learn & plan with minimal guidance
Organized with the ability to multi-task & problem solve in a fast-paced environment
Established business communication skills and customer service understanding
Microsoft Excel proficient -- interfaces & upload knowledge a plus
General accounting concept knowledge
