The T&P Cross Platform Apps and Infrastructure Services team is looking for a seasoned developer. This team is responsible for systems architecture (Customer/PE interface, design and development and test) as well as framework development (for automation and performance assessment). We're looking for a Senior Software architect with extensive experience in systems design, application development and functional / performance testing employing modern OpenStack/Cloud technologies with expertise in associated transaction protocols and database tools. This engineer would be responsible for developing applications, related APIs, and tools scalable under our and automation and performance testing platforms. The charter also requires skills for identifying / implementing innovative solutions interfacing with internal and external groups to satisfy end user requirements enhancing customer experience.

Core Responsibilities:

-Actively participates/develops requirements and develops/upgrades system architectures

-Facilitates design discussions, code reviews and guides debugging exercises

-Keeps abreast of latest SW development related technologies and facilitate training for the team.

-Works with members of cross-functional teams, joint ventures, third party vendors to deliver quality products, in a timely fashion, that meet requirements. Establishes and maintains relationships across SW Dev, Testing, Ops/CARE groups, as well as vendors and contractors.

-Solves complex problems. Takes broad/visionary perspectives to propose INNOVATIVE solutions exercising independent judgment, technical expertise and discretion in matters of significance.

-Ability to establish and maintain Continuous Integration Environments using Jenkins/Team City/Maven/GIT and familiarity with Couchbase/Cassandra DB tools would be a advantageous.

-Guides the team in developing tools C# & Java/Open Source Tech (C#, VSTS, Java SE 6/7, J2EE 5/6).

-Develops automation frameworks to help other business, using open source tools where possible.

Core Responsibilities:

-10+ yrsof experience in modern software development languages, tools, methods as well as in Performance/Load Testing (Java SE, J2EE, No-SQL DBs such as Hadoop, Cassandra, Load Runner/VSTS, C#)

-2+yrs of experience in REST API Web Services development & testing. Load Generation & Load/Performance testing experience, Automation Framework development, -Continuous Integration & Build Server setup, Java & J2EE, configuration & management tools experience, Jenkins, SQL Server/Oracle, Java & Java Script & JQuery Development experience. Familiarity with Apache Tomcat.

Job Specification:

-3 years' experience with Web Service technologies (REST API, WCF, Soap, XML, and RESTful).

-3 years of experience building web-based solutions using Java technologies would be plus.

-2years of experience with scripting in a UNIX environment (Perl, Curl, Python, Ruby).

-Experience in no-Sql DBs (Couchbase, Mango, Cassandra) and RDBMS (Oracle, QL Server 2008)

-5years of experience in Agile software development methodologies with design responsibilities, and 8 years of Development/Load & Performance Testing experience preferably with VSTS or Gatling/UFT Performance Center/Load Runner.

-Mastery of software development life cycle, test processes and design skills

-Experience mapping business requirements to technology capabilities, identifying gaps and omissions, and designing end-to-end solutions

-Expertise in Network Architectures, SOA framework and Database technologies

-Working knowledge in one or more of the following technologies DOCSIS, RDK-B, WiFi, MOCA

-Experience in software platforms for automation, skilled in scripting and tools and simulation.

-Strong interpersonal skills; capable of interacting with company personnel on complex topics; make presentations to an internal audience and interacting positively with senior management.

-Must have strong oral and written communications skills, excellent team building and team leadership abilities, must be an independent problem solver and be self-directed.

-A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or in a related discipline is a MUST.
